Japanese fashion brand Uniqlo has opened its Scottish flagship store on Edinburgh’s iconic Princes Street. Culverwell are delighted to have acted on behalf of Uniqlo in the acquisition of their first store in Scotland.
The former BHS, designed by Johnson-Marshall and Partners in 1965, has been transformed with a high quality and brilliantly designed fit out, including a natural stone staircase which leads to the first floor and café with amazing views over Princes Street Gardens. Throughout the store there are details of their collaborations with several local partners including Irn-Bru and Social Bite.
James Godfrey of Culverwell commented "Uniqlo are a great addition to the city and will provide a much needed boost to Princes Street. Undoubtedly they will be the catalyst for more high quality retailers to locate here".
Celebrating the opening, Alessandro Dudech, Chief Operating Officer at UNIQLO UK, said: “We are delighted to bring UNIQLO to the thriving city of Edinburgh.
