Acting
on behalf of Cafe Noir, Culverwell have sold their lease at 1 Palmerston Place,
Edinburgh to new neighbourhood restaurant and bakery The Palmerston.
The Palmerston will draw inspiration from its suppliers and
the seasons; a friendly, relaxed eating space where the food and wine - and
their sources - will be just as important as the cooking and service.
The restaurant and bakery is co-owned and run by Lloyd Morse and James
Snowdon, with a combined experience of over 30 years in the hospitality
industry. The Palmerston will open as a sixty cover restaurant in Edinburgh’s
West End with an open-plan dining room and bar alongside a bakery. The bakery
will produce bread and baked goods for both dine-in and takeaway, with a
wholesale business working alongside some of Edinburgh’s most loved cafes,
shops and restaurants.
James Godfrey commented, "This is a beautiful building in a
great location and it's fantastic to welcome a new restaurant and bakery to the
Edinburgh food scene".
